The CCG aims to move commissioning further towards mental health awareness and placing more emphasis on prevention and helping people maintain good mental health and wellbeing. Within primary care there will be a greater focus on pathways and partnership working with our Mental Health Providers as well as ensuring providers are able to respond to the long term care needs of service users.
NELCCG hope to achieve this through the development and implementation of Payment by Results, piloting Payment by Results for IAPT (Talking) therapies, implementation of Supported Living models, reshaping the market, and the introduction of Personal Budgets for people with long term Mental Health Conditions.
We are committed to the principles of Parity of Esteem, and look to develop Mental Health Services alongside Social and Health Care – for example in the new Single Point of Access.

Free Perinatal Mental Health Training
Here in North East Lincolnshire we would like to improve the services and support available for families experiencing perinatal mental health difficulties. Perinatal mental health problems are illnesses that are specifically linked to pregnancy, birth and up to a year afterwards. This includes conditions such as depression, anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and psychosis and they are known to affect at least 10% of mums, with dads also being affected.
We are offering training on perinatal mental health to anyone who works with children and families. These training sessions are free and tea and coffee will be available.
A free training session will be held on:
Wednesday 21st November 9am – 1pm Riverside Family Hub
Spaces on the training sessions are limited so please book your place. Please also note that we will charge for non attendance.
Book your place on the session via this link - Perinatal Mental Health Session and if you want more information please contact Amy Chilvers - Amy.Chilvers@Nelincs.gov.uk on 01472 323536
