GP Patient Experience Feedback & new opportunity to share your experiences
Last year we asked people to complete a questionnaire called ‘Good Practice – quality services from the moment you step through the door’. This was to help us to understand what makes a good visit to your GP Practice because we wanted to make improvements to ensure patients and their families or carers have the best experience possible.
We asked questions about going to see your GP or practice nurse. We were interested in how you felt about every aspect of your visit – from making an appointment, talking to the receptionist when you arrive, waiting to see the GP, nurse or another health professional and your appointment itself.
More than 800 people took part and their responses were collated and fed back to our GP Practices. The CCG has been working with local GP practices and Patient Participation Groups (PPGs), to use the feedback and make any adjustments or improvements based on the responses received from their patients.
You can read the overall report by clicking here.
Now, nine months on we are asking the same questions again to see if people have noticed positive improvements from the first survey released. These results will continue to help inform both the CCG and GP Practices. We will keep the public up to date with our findings through our website.
If you filled in the survey nine months ago we'd like to hear your views again now, and if it's the first time you've seen this survey then we'd very much welcome your feedback too.
If you are already happy with how things are at your local practice please tell us and share what you think is good as this will also help other practices and medical centres.
This survey should take no more than 20 minutes to fill in, it is confidential and your answers will not affect the care you receive.
Please click here to complete the survey online, this will be open until March 3rd.
If you would prefer to complete a hard copy of the questionnaire please call us on 0300 3000 567 and we will pop one in the post for you with details on how you can send it back to us by FREEPOST.
