The Care Quality Commission (CQC)

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England.  We monitor, inspect and regulate services to make sure they meet standards of quality and safety. We then publish our findings, including performance ratings, to help people choose their care.

The CQC Northern Lincolnshire & Goole FT Inspection is a ‘Follow-Up’ which is focused on particular areas from our previous Inspection so there is no large scale public event this time. Instead we are interested in patients and families giving their experiences individually.

The areas we will focus on will be:

• A&E,
• surgical care,
• medical care,
• critical care,
• outpatients,
• diagnostics,
• maternity services
• and governance (issues such as complaints or leadership).

However, if people have other important things to say about the Trust’s services we would still like to hear from them about these as well.

We would like to hear from people who have used the Trust services within the last year whether their experiences are good, bad or mixed. They can also say where they would like to see the Trust make improvements. These experiences are important as the Inspection Team will consider them when they are thinking about the areas and departments that they will Inspect.

They can share with us in the following ways:
