North East Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group (NELCCG) is proud to announce that Nicola Pullman, Service Lead for Carers and Communities, has won two NHS Regional Leadership Recognition Awards with Health Education Yorkshire and the Humber.
The awards ceremony which took place in Leeds on 3rd December saw a gathering of many credible faces in the NHS with some amazing work to share.
Nicola who was nominated for three awards won the ‘Innovator of the Year’ and ‘Inclusivity Leader of the Year’ for the great work she managed on the re-tender of the Carers’ Support Service (CSS). To support the procurement, Nicola created a unique partnership, drawing together colleagues from NELCCG, North East Lincolnshire Council Children’s Services and Drug and Alcohol Action Team, members of NEL carers’ forums, and volunteers from NEL’s wider population of carers.
Jake Rollin, Assistant Director of Care and Independence at NELCCG said: “We are absolutely delighted that Nic has won not one, but two of these prestigious awards. Nic and her team have worked hard over many months to bring this inclusive vision to fruition and I’m extremely pleased the project has been recognised at a regional level.
“Nic is one member of a very strong commissioning team, and I’m sure other colleagues will have the opportunity to be nominated in the coming months as we begin to deliver many more improvements and developments to the local health and care system.”
