Do you know how to access your out of hours care?

With the pharmacy opening times reducing over the Easter period North East Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) are taking the opportunity to make you aware of the Single Point of Access (SPA) service in North East Lincolnshire.

A recent GP patient survey has shown 40% of people in the North East Lincolnshire area are not aware of their out of hours care and often attend A&E with minor ailments. In North East Lincolnshire we offer a service that offers a direct line through to the right health care professionals to help deal with your health problem(s) at any time.

If you need access to Community Health and Social Care support or advice and information the Single Point of Access is always open, including overnight, weekends and bank holidays, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Focus hosts the Single Point of Access for residents within North East Lincolnshire which together with a number of other organisations such as North East Lincolnshire CCG work together to offer a range of services.

Ros Davey, Head of Demand Management and Communities at Focus said:

“The Single Point of Access (SPA) is open 24/7/365 and it provides access to a range of community health and social care support, including access to Social Workers and Nurses. Staff within the SPA are experts in accessing community support services. Often, attendance at A&E can delay access to the correct type of community support.  Only people with health emergencies should attend A&E.”
