North East Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is working closely with partners to host an event aimed at improving the lives of those suffering from Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in North East Lincolnshire.
The aim of the ‘Focus on MS in North East Lincolnshire’ event is to get patients and families together to share their experiences and stories of living with MS. The event aims to help encourage and empower those in the same situation to manage their condition better and lead an improved lifestyle. The event will focus on:
• what is working well for patients and their families
• what could be done differently to help people improve their conditions
• what needs to be done to improve services in North East Lincolnshire
The CCG is working closely with the MS Society, Care Plus Group and Northern Lincolnshire and Goole (NLaG) NHS Trust to bring the event together, so MS services can be developed further for patients in North East Lincolnshire.
The event will be held on Thursday 26th February at West Marsh Community Centre, Beeson Grove, Grimsby, DN31 2QH from 2pm-4pm.
Dr Arun Nayyar, GP and Clinical Lead of Planned Care at the CCG said: “This event is a perfect opportunity for patients to influence directly how we develop and design future services that will meet their needs and wants.
“One of our aims as a CCG is to ‘improve local neurology services’. Holding this event is just one of a number of initiatives we will be undertaking to ensure we achieve this for our patients.”
If anyone would like to book onto the event then please email or call 0300 3000 567 by Monday 16th February. Refreshments will be provided and the event is free of charge.
