Mike Bewick, Deputy Medical Director of NHS England visits Grimsby
Mike Bewick is set to visit Grimsby on Friday 21st February. He will be meeting local GPs are leading change across North East Lincolnshire
Mike Bewick is an experienced clnician. He is one of the most senior doctors in the country. He has worked in both acute and primary care, and was a Principal in Cumbria for over 20 years. Mike is Deputy Medical Director for NHS England with a special interest in revalidation and specialised commissioning. He is involved in particular with the commissioning of Primary Care.
Mike is set to visit Grimsby to view a day in Primary Care to see what North East Lincolnshire do differently and to see how the practices work together in an integrated way to improve patient experience.
Drs Arun Nayyar and Rakesh Pathak are hosting the visit. Apart from showing him their own practices in Grimsby and Immingham and meeting their teams and senior leaders in the Clinical Commissioning Group they will also show him the unique arrangements of GPs and primary care staff working together with A&E as one team.
