What changes will I see?

Our GPs still see patients regularly so they know what’s important to people like you.

They are in a position to develop and improve services and have already made changes in the local area. Some of these changes include:

Seven-day services

GPs, hospitals and community services are working together to offer more services to patients seven days a week from April 2014 onwards.

More services closer to home

The Haven Service was launched in 2013 so more people can be cared for in their own home at the end of their lives and die with dignity.

Better care for children

Children taken to Grimsby A&E are being seen more quickly and treated by a paediatric team within A&E, thanks to the launch of a new dedicated children’s unit. Fewer children are being admitted into hospital as a result and go the care they need faster.

These are just a few examples of the improvements we have made. Find out more about our plans to improve services for the future.

Our GPs put patients at the heart of everything they do, but because they’re still busy seeing and treating patients they know your help is needed to design local services.

You can get involved as much or as little as you like, whether it’s responding to surveys or taking part in focus groups - there has never been a better time to help shape local health and adult social care.
