Launching the Listening Shop

As patients, relatives or carers we all sometimes need to turn to someone for advice and support about our health and wellbeing and the care that is available to us, and also speak out about the care either we or a loved one have received.

To meet this need NHS North Lincolnshire CCG’s Quality Team and Accord Ambassadors are working together and providing the new Listening Shop for people living in North East Lincolnshire.

The Listening Shop is an informal “drop-in‟ session where members of the public can come and meet members of our Patient Advice and Liaison Team (PALS) and the Accord Ambassadors to tell us about their experiences of local health and care services.

The first Listening Shop will be held on Tuesday 5th December 9am – 11.30am in the Courtyard Area of the Freeman Street Market. It will then take place at community venues across North East Lincolnshire on a bi-monthly basis.

People are invited to come along and meet members of the Patient Advice and Liaison Team (PALS) and share their compliments, complaints or comments about local health and care services. PALS is an impartial, confidential service and will be there to offer support and advice about GP, dental, optical, pharmaceutical and social care services.

The Listening Shop is about listening, learning and working together to improve our health and social care services and also offering people the opportunity to get involved in shaping services both now and for the future.
